2011 VW Routan Comes Overloaded With Features!

The Chrysler minivans that you come across over at KS Used Cars are not going to stand a chance against the brand new and improved 2011 Volkswagen Routan.  While the newer minivans from just about every auto maker that is still producing minivans returns for the 2011 production year with tons of upgrades, the leaders have usually been the Chrysler models like the Town & Country or the Dodge Grand Caravan.  However, CA Volkswagen might be known for selling plenty of small, compact, turbocharged cars, but their new Routan brings a lot to the table in terms of styling and features.  Plus, the base price of only $26,930 over at Toronto Volkswagen makes the pricing of VW’s minivan hard to beat.

In terms of pricing, you can plan on spending $31,770 for the Routan SE which is the middle trim.  If you opt for the top of the line Routan SEL, you can plan on spending $37,390.  Of course there are always additional optional upgrades that will increase the total price you pay, but when all is said and done, minivans end up being quite the luxury vehicle.  The base features include cruise control, power accessories, CD player with auxiliary jack, and manual sliding doors.  The middle trim comes with power sliding doors, Bluetooth, CD changer, vinyl upholstery for easy cleaning, and power-adjustable pedals so that every driver feels comfortable while driving.  The top of the line SEL trim is going to include a sunroof, in-dash navigation, USB port for media playback, and auto climate control.

Some of the upgrades that are specific for 2011 include new powertrain options.  The 2011 Volkswagen Routan comes equipped with a 3.6-liter V6 Pentastar engine.  This is the only engine choice that drivers have but it does come with a fuel efficient six-speed automatic transmission.  Taking all this into consideration, drivers will appreciate and notice the 283 horsepower plus 260 pound feet of torque that is generated.
